Through the lens of the Two Sessions – the annual gatherings of the country's national legislature and political advisory body – the world gained valuable insights into China's development roadmap for 2025.
This year's Two Sessions, held in Beijing from March 4 to 11, drew extensive coverage from major international media outlets. Many featured related reports on their home pages or dedicated special sections, providing in-depth coverage through live broadcasts and on-site reporting.
Economy and technology emerged as key topics, highlighting China's strong momentum of its high-quality development.
Economic growth
China's economic growth was a focal point of the Two Sessions for leaders of news organizations from various countries.
"In the face of global economic uncertainty, how China sets and achieves new growth targets will have a direct impact on the global economic landscape," said Benjamin Mgana, chief editor of foreign news for The Guardian in Tanzania.
With targeted planning, strong leadership, and high support rate from the people, China has overcome numerous obstacles and challenges, transforming itself into one of the world's most significant economies today, noted Osama Al-Saeid, editor-in-chief of Egypt's Al-Akhbar newspaper.
Many economies are closely linked to China's economy and benefit from its economic growth, he said, adding that "China's economic development is no longer a domestic issue, but a topic of global significance, as China has a strong influence on the entire world."
